James L. McQuivey, Ph.D.

VP, Principal Analyst, Forrester Research

At Forrester, James analyzes consumer media behavior to project the adoption and use of advanced video and media technologies ranging from online video to digital reading. From this perspective he identifies which digital disruptions will succeed and with what impact. He is routinely sought after for comment by tier-one business outlets, including the New York Times and The Wall Street Journal as well as National Public Radio and MSNBC. 

James comes to Forrester most recently after several years as a professor, teaching marketing research at Boston University's top-rated College of Communication. James earned his Ph.D. in mass communication research at Syracuse University and holds an M.B.A. with an emphasis in marketing.

Ross Rubin

Executive Director, Industry Analysis, The NPD Group

Ross Rubin leads The NPD Group’s coverage of consumer electronics with an emphasis on connected intelligent devices, software, and services. He is also the lead analyst for NPD’s consumer coverage of mobile phones and other wireless devices. Rubin has more than 15 years experience analyzing and writing about the tech industry.

Bob Borchers

General Partner, Opus Capital

A mobile and consumer marketing veteran with more than 20 years operating experience, Bob Borchers comes to Opus Capital from Apple, Inc where he served as Sr. Director of Worldwide Product Marketing for the iPhone.


At Opus Borchers is focused on investments in mobile applications and services as well as adjacent opportunities in both hardware and software.

Eric Anderson

VP Content and Product Solutions, Samsung Electronics America

Eric Anderson has more than 20 years experience in mobile and content delivery services and currently serves as the Vice President of Content and Product Solutions for Samsung Electronics America, Inc. His primary responsibility is to enhance the Samsung end user experience by providing content discovery and distribution services across the Home Entertainment, Mobile Entertainment and Home Appliance portfolios. 

Prior to working at Samsung, Eric served as SVP of Business Development and Corporate Development for Handango, an independent Smartphone application store provider and content aggregator.

Before joining Handango, Eric oversaw the Media and Entertainment group for Ericsson North America and spent more than 8 years at Accenture in their mobile and wireless data practice.

Peggy Ang

VP Marketing Communications, Samsung Electronics America

Peggy oversees the development and execution of strategic marketing and communications for the Consumer Business Division. She directs multifaceted initiatives that drive brand and consumer communications for Samsung’s diverse product lines – from TVs and digital imaging devices to home appliances and tablets. In particular, Peggy spearheaded the successful launches of Samsung’s LED TV, Smart TV, 3D TV and smart home appliances. She also oversees social media endeavors and engagement programs.

Greg Dudey

Vice President, Visual Display UX Lab, Samsung Information Systems America

Gregory Dudey has more than fifteen years experience in the digital media industry.  He holds degrees in Computer Science from Caltech and Stanford, as well as an MBA from Wharton. 

Early in his career Greg architected the world’s first adaptive streaming video and 3D system.  After spending almost 10 years as the Vice President of Engineering at two technology startups, he moved to Apple, Inc., where he was responsible for Apple TV.  Greg left Apple to join Dell, Inc., were he was responsible for the user experience of all Dell consumer products from different form factor PCs to mobile phones and tablets.

Greg is currently Vice-President of the Visual Display User Experience Lab at Samsung Electronics.  He is building a team of User Experience experts in the Bay Area in order to leverage innovative technologies to create world-class user experiences with TV and throughout the television ecosystem.
